Cofradia Boutique Hotel

Dating back to the 17th century, the religious brotherhood of "Cofradia de la Purisima Concepcion" was dedicated to the cultivation and preservation of agave. Today, two packages are available to experience what has made this region of the country well known around the world - tequila. Doubling as a working distillery, guests are able to tour the Cofradia tequila factory and participate first hand in the making of tequila, just as a full-time tequila worker would. From the cultivation of the agave plant, to tasting the end result to make sure it has the required flavor.

Aside from tasting your tequila results, Cofradia is now home to Arte de Fuego, a 25-year-old stoneware company that makes hand-made pottery from the construction of each piece to the hand painted artwork done by local Jalisco artists.

As a dedicated member of their community, the team at Cofradia Boutique Hotel strives to promote the culture and environment in which they have been raised. Each room contains signs asking guests to contribute. For example, to turn off the light if not needed and only use the air conditioner if you really need it, all worth it when you factor in the dedicated host assigned to you for the duration of your stay.
